Collimated Holes, Inc. designs and manufactures fiber optic components, sub-assemblies, and integrated imaging systems. Established in 1975, CHI is recognized for innovative solutions to difficult imaging and illumination problems. Fibers are optimized for optical transmission from the near-UV into the IR, serving medical, scientific, industrial, aerospace, and instrumentation applications worldwide.
We work with Fortune-class companies in semiconductor, biotech, and other industries, as well as independent R&D groups, academic institutions, small ventures, and startups. Solutions are typically custom. We collaborate to create the best possible answer—without pressure to sell off-the-shelf products that almost work.
Beyond core fiber optics, we manufacture precision transparent sieves, micro-lenses, and bulk scintillating glass plates for X-ray detection. Our plant is minutes from San Jose International Airport.
